DIVERSITY is not a US term -- it's global! Diversity can be broadly defined as all the ways or dimensions in which people can be similar and different. Learning about diversity is a critical building block for creating an inclusive culture and intercultural mindset.
REDHOUSE supports and encourages clients to help people improve their awareness and understanding of specific diversity dimensions – i.e. age, physical ability, gender, nationality, ethnicity, etc. - that are prevalent in the workforce.
The DIVERSITY WHEEL is an easy to understand and effective model of diversity. It was developed by Cornell professors Lee Gardenschwartz and Anita Rowe and first published in the 1991 landmark book "Diverse Teams at Work: Capitalizing on the Power of Diversity".
